Terri graduated from Sibley High School in 1963. Terri met Bill Vander Gaast at a skating rink and they started dating. They were married on Feb. 6, 1966, and celebrated 59 years of marriage this year. Terri and Bill settled on an acreage just outside of Everly where they raised four children and a menagerie of animals.
