Letter to the Editor
Re: The letter to the editor which appeared in the Tuesday, Aug. 10 issue of the SDR

I'm afraid that exercises like those being undertaken by the Cyber Ninjas and the Cyber Symposium are futile. They have made the basic ID-10-T error. Any useful analysis must take full account of what the primary data says. In this case the primary data is the paper ballots, and the result is clear. Moreover, the primary data has been thoroughly analyzed and compiled — sometimes twice, three and even more times. The "data" being used by the cyber boys is tertiary at best. It consists of clumps of figures arranged by numerous outlets to confirm a prejudged assumption. Further compiling of this so-called data constitutes a useless exercise in producing more nonsense.
