Trump tries London again

Wednesday, June 5, 2019

President Donald Trump’s first visit to the U.K. in 2018 brought out 250,000 protestors lining the streets voicing their disapproval. His June 2019 visit, luckily, coincided with heavy rain on Monday that decreased the number of protestors to only 75,000. The Tuesday protest crowd in Trafalgar Square was again supersized. “We absolutely want Trump and his policies of hate to feel unwelcome here” was voiced at the protests. Trump’s approval rating, as an American president by Brits is at a historic low of 21% which is worrisome since the U.K. is such an important ally. Trump’s crowd assessment skills again became apparent as he stated the supporting crowds were tremendous, although hard to find by most observers, and he only saw a few protestors.

Apparently, seeing no problem with interfering with another countries politics, he brazenly endorsed Boris Johnson as the best choice to succeed retiring Prime Minister Theresa May, then proceeded to deride London’s Muslim Mayor Sadiq Khan, calling him a “stone cold loser,” then issuing in a further insult to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.

One has to wonder what further embarrassment Trump will add on his visit to France.
