SHS girls get win at home

SPENCER — Mason City came a knocking and the Spencer defense said, “You can’t come in” … to the Tiger goal. Friday night, the Tigers improved to 14-3 while handing the Riverhawks their sixth loss on their year, 7-0.

“Our Mason City game was one of our best performances of the season,” said John Hansel, Spencer girls coach. “From start to finish it was both our best defending and attacking we have had this year. That is exactly what you want heading into the postseason.”
