AMES ― Thursday and Friday, Spencer’s spring season officially got underway just as the boys and girls competed over two days at IATC 3A Indoor Championships in Leid Recreation Athletic Facility in Ames. Spencer’s boys placed 19th with a score of eight, Thursday; and the Tiger girls scored 2.5, Friday, finishing 26th among the class’ best.
The boys team earned multiple top 10 finishes. Tate VonEhwegen led the way with a fifth place effort in the boys high jump, clearing 6-01.
