Randy’s Review: ‘Gladiator II’

When last we left the arena, a fatally wounded Maximus (Russell Crowe), a crowd favorite, had just killed Emperor Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix) in front of a packed Roman audience including a young Lucious, his mother and the entire conspiring senate. He collapses shortly thereafter, leaving behind a vision of a new Rome.

That was then. This is now. Same story. Same Rome.
