A celebration of life for Barbara Ann “Barb” Weier, 88, was conducted on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Trinity United Church of Christ in Hartley. Dr. Lynn Dau served as celebrant. Burial took place in Fanny Fern Cemetery in Sioux Rapids.

Barb, one of five children of Sanford Frank and Hattie Helen (Sylvester) Reed, was born Dec. 26, 1936, in Rossie. She spent her youth in the Marathon area, where she received her education, graduating from the Marathon Consolidated School in 1955.

Barbara Joyce Thunhorst, the daughter of John A. and Madge (Mosher) Raber, was born on Sept. 3, 1927, in Le Mars. She was raised and received her early education in Le Mars.

Funeral services for William “Bill” D. Safley, 74, of Peterson, who passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at his home in Peterson. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church in Paullina with Pastor Jeremy Lou officiating.

Burial will be at a later date at Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina.

Visitation with family present will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025, at the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina.

Waneta Clague, 99, formerly of rural Milford, passed Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Accura HealthCare of Milford. Funeral service for Waneta will be Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Langdon United Methodist Church, Langdon. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Michael Donavan Mozena was born Nov. 18, 1955, at Lutheran Hospital to Lestel Donavon and Leta Rae Mozena in Fort Dodge. Michael ("Mike") was a delightful baby with big brown eyes. As a child, he was headstrong and when he decided to do something, he would. He started to crawl at 4 months and never stopped learning new skills quickly. He was a beloved son and brother and always kept his family close. He grew up in Spencer, enjoying family camping trips, fishing and wrestling.

A memorial service for Mary Gretchen Halquist Krieger, 92, of Dickens will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Terril. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. at the church in Terril. Burial will be held at a later date at Fairview Cemetery in Terril.

Margaret “Marty” SkeltonGreen, born on Sept. 4, 1944, in Spencer, passed away at her home in Kalispell, Montana, accompanied by her husband on Feb. 28, 2025.
