Joyce Alene Campbell, 89, of Cedar Falls, died March 13, 2023, at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center after a brief illness.

She was born Oct. 6, 1933, in Columbus Junction to Russell and Dorothy (Knotts) Owens.

Joyce graduated from Ainsworth High School and attended Iowa Wesleyan College. She then began a teaching career that would take her to several Iowa schools.

Shirley passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at her home in Spencer.

Barbara Winslow Boardman, 65, of Media, Pennsylvania, formerly of Spencer, passed away March 26, 2023.

She was born Aug. 2, 1957, in Spencer, the fourth child of Wayne and Mary Annette “Sammy” Winslow. At Spencer High School, she was a standout in debate, winning the state title in extemporaneous speaking.

John Leroy Olson, of Spencer, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. He was the son of Irvin and Edith Olson. He was born on the family farm near Spencer. John graduated from Spencer High School in 1947. After graduation from Iowa State College in Ames, he earned a master’s degree from Fresno State University.
