A memorial service for Mary Rose Rezac-Hemme will take place at Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held at Henry Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville on Friday, July 7, from 4-7 p.m.

Mary was born July 1, 1945, in Estherville to Ella Rose (Julius) and Morris Nicholi Danielson.

She passed away on June 25, 2023, at St Luke's in Spencer.

Laurie Kay Hoefling, 65, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 26, 2023, in her home with loved ones at her side after a brief battle with cancer.

Funeral services for Barbara Jean Christensen, 93, of Spencer, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2023, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, in Spencer. Rev. Christensen passed away Tuesday, June 27, 223, at Spencer Hospital.

Funeral services for Clayton Schuett, 92, of Spirit Lake, formerly of Cherokee, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2023, at Grace St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Milford. Rev. Brian Hughes will officiate the service. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. Schuett passed away Saturday, June 24, 2022, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.

Phyllis L. (Bohrns) Powers of Spencer, formerly of Hartley, was born to William and Lillie (Thoms) Bohrns on Aug. 29, 1931, in Calumet. Phyl’s father worked for the Illinois Central Railroad and her family lived in Matlock and Fort Dodge for a time, but the bulk of her childhood was spent in Calumet. She graduated from Calumet High School in 1949.

Funeral services for Jerry Joel Kramer, 89, of Spirit Lake, will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Warner Chapel. Rev. Dan Taylor will officiate the service. Visitation will be conducted one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be at Lone Tree Cemetery in Everly.

Funeral services for Orville Dean Belken, 88, of Milford was held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Harbor of Joy Lutheran Church in Milford. Burial was in the Milford Cemetery. Visitation will take place prior to the service.

He passed away on June 24, 2023, at Lakes Regional Hospital in Spirit Lake.

Larry Eugene Beck, the son of Robert E. and Dorothy M. (Taylor) Beck, was born March 26, 1945, in Spencer. His childhood years were spent in Spencer, where he received his education, graduating from Spencer High School in 1963. Upon graduation, he earned his associates degree in accounting from Mankato Commercial College. Following his schooling, he entered the military and served with the U.S.
