Charting their own path. That’s the way Tom Howe described the 150-year history of First Congregational Church in Spencer.

“Like the pilgrims, that’s what we’ve done,” said Howe, a lifelong member of the church. “I think that’s a really a good way to put it. This church is a pilgrimage.”
