Tuesday afternoon, after a tornado watch had been issued for Clay County, the skies over Spencer and northern Clay County darkened and the watch quickly became a warning. The sirens sounded for the first time this spring and cars moved up and down the streets a bit quicker. Despite some subtle rotation above, nothing touched down locally from the ominous skies. The day included multiple heavy rain storms leading up to the warning. (Photos by Randy M. Cauthron)
