I figured I’d better get this information out one last time: all Iowa boat registrations expire April 30. This registration is on a three-year cycle, and each time the registration comes due, there are always some boat owners that are so busy getting everything else ready for the season, especially next weekend’s Walleye Opener, that they forget.

A $5 penalty is added to the renewal cost for an expired Iowa registration. There is no grace period.
