Kenneth G. Kahley, 87, of Spencer, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2024.

Born on Dec. 28, 1936, in Spencer. Ken was a lifelong resident of the community. He graduated from Spencer High School and Drake University, where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. After Drake, he went to Arizona where he worked on the Salt River Project and enlisted in the Arizona National Guard.

Ellen Louise Watkins Hales, 91, of Arnolds Park, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024, just two weeks shy of her 92nd birthday. She will be dearly missed by her family.

Louise (as we all knew her by) was born Dec. 8, 1932, to Ida (Henderson) and Oscar Watkins in a log cabin near Goodnight, Oklahoma. She had three siblings; older brother Louis, younger sister Dorothy, and younger brother James (Bud). They settled in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where she spent her childhood years.

Allan Percy Hansen, 86, of Spencer, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024.

Funeral services for Linda Lee Fries are at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, at the St. Luke Lutheran Home Chapel. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to service. Shane Ray Zellaha, 62, of Cherokee, formerly of Spencer, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, in Spencer.

Memorial services for Judith “Judy” Ann Mugge Miles, 67, formerly of Calumet, Iowa, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, at Heartland Care Center in Marcus. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, at Oakdale Evangelical Free Church in rural Meriden. Private burial will take place at Liberty Township Cemetery in Calumet.
