No injuries were reported following a three-car accident the morning of Oct. 31.

At 10:15 am, it was reported to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office that an accident occurred in the 2400 mile of U.S. Highway 18 east of Spencer. Upon investigation, it was determined that Daniel Wernimont, 55, of Fonda, was traveling eastbound in his 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 when he lost a piece of cargo from the back of his vehicle. It came to rest on the travel portion of the roadway.
