ARNOLDS PARK — Molly Brandt, granddaughter of Sonna and Merlyn Winther, of Spencer, was the winner in the Americana Artist of the Year honor at the Midwest Country Music Association Awards Saturday evening in the famous Roof Garden Ballroom at Arnolds Park.

After winning the award in a pool of five finalists, Brandt would perform to open the second half of the awards presentation.
