Prescription drugs

Monday, August 12, 2019

U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley, an Iowa Republican, and U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden, an Oregon Democrat, co-sponsored a bill addressing the high cost of prescription drugs. They presented it to the Senate Finance Committee for confirmation. It was voted on and passed 19-9. It will no go on to Congress. President Trump supports it and has indicated he will sign it.

Senator Grassley made this statement: “This is a bipartisan bill and you get nothing done in the United States without bipartisanship.”

There are some people in Washington who are setting a good example by working together on our problems, and they should be commended. Thank you senators for serving our country.
