Recently I had a flat tire north of Spencer on the truck bypass road approx 2 miles east of 71. This occurred around 5 p.m. on a Friday afternoon. I tried for 45 minutes to get my tire off but the lock nuts were “frozen” on the hub, I’m not very handy. I called a friend Curt Smith and he said he would come and help me. After watching the 5 o’clock traffic keep streaming by, a farmer named Lee Seaman(sp?) stopped just as Curt arrived, and Lee asked me if he could help, before I could hardly say yes and thank him for stopping he had the lug nuts off. I offered to pay him something but I could tell by his gentle soul he wouldn’t accept anything, so again I want to thank him and Curt for their assistance that day, thank you.
