Workforce Needs Assessment Survey underway

Monday, August 6, 2018

Iowa Workforce Development has begun the 2018 Iowa Workforce Needs Assessment Survey. Businesses may be requested to complete a survey about benefit package offerings, vacant positions, employee recruitment, retirements, future workforce expansion or reduction and skills of applicants.

The findings of the survey will assist local economic development agencies, as well as workforce development and education partners with meeting the needs of Iowa’s businesses. Results will also help businesses compare their benefits and needs to those of the region, the state and their industries. Your participation will allow IWD to provide the most accurate and detailed information possible.

Letters to the attention of the human resources director, containing a link, username and password were sent to businesses selected to participate in the 2018 Iowa Workforce Needs Assessment Survey.

The Iowa Lakes Corridor encourages participation. All survey information is kept strictly confidential and will only be reported in aggregate.

For further information or to obtain a username and password, contact Rob Parker of IWD at 515-281-7524 or

The survey link and results of previous years’ studies are available at Thank you in advance for your participation.
