OST presents Rodgers and Hammerstein’s ‘A Grand Night For Singing’
OKOBOJI — The Okoboji Summer Theatre is pleased to present its seventh production of the summer: Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “A Grand Night For Singing,” a musical revue with music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II. The production runs from Tuesday, July 24 through Sunday, July 29.
Come relive the timeless music and memories of some of your favorite shows: “Me and Juliet,” “State Fair,” “Flower Drum Song” and the Broadway classics “Carousel,” “Oklahoma!,” “The King and I,” “South Pacific,” “Cinderella” and “The Sound of Music.” Featuring dynamic singing and dancing, this show will have you walking out of the theater humming and moving to your favorite tune.
Directed and choreographed by OST Artistic Director, Stephen Brotebeck, the cast features several professional guest actors along with the talented students of Stephens College.
Curtain times are Tuesday through Saturday at 8 p.m., Saturday matinee at 4:30 p.m., Sunday evening at 6 p.m. Tickets are $22 and may be purchased at the OST box office, by calling 712-332-7773, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Two students, 13 and above, will be admitted for the regular price of one on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Two senior citizens, age 60 or older, will be admitted for the price of one on Saturday matinees and Sunday evenings. All Saturday evening performances are now available at the two-for-one ticket price for all ages. All active and reserve military may purchase two-for-one tickets for any 8 p.m. performance.
