MANKATO, Minn. — The academic high honor and honor lists for the past spring semester at Minnesota State University, Mankato have been announced by Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Marilyn Wells. Area students making the lists include: Lucas Jackson, senior, honors kist, finance; Cierra McAllister, senior, honors list, accounting; and Michaela Rehm, senior, honors list, finance — all of Emmetsburg; Cory Hoffman, junior, honors list, nursing; and Megan Peschong, junior, honors list, exercise science — both of Milford; and Lauren Boyd, junior, honors list, theater arts; Anna Glover, senior, honors list, nursing; and Matthew Sather, senior, high honors list, theater arts — all of Spencer.


GREENWOOD, S.C. — Landers University announced the names of its undergraduates who were recognized with the honor of making the dean’s list for academic achievements during the spring semester. Kirstin Martindale, of Spencer, was among those on the list.


IOWA CITY — Spring 2018 University of Iowa graduates include: Rebecca White of Peterson, BSN-nursing with Distinction; Alyssa Carlson of Spencer, J.D.-law; Rebecca Frederick of Spencer, B.A.-english; B.S.-psychology; Courtney Heikens of Spencer, BSN-nursing-RN; Kari Kramer of Spencer, BBA-accounting; Benjamin Levinson of Spencer, DNP-nursing; Charles Rezabek of Spencer, B.A.-biology with distinction and B.A.-psychology with distinction; and Mackenzie Rosendahl of Spencer, BBA-marketing.


ST. CLOUD, Minn. — St. Cloud State University graduated more than 1,120 students during spring semester 2018. Commencement ceremonies took place Friday, May 4. Tanner Schaefer, of Spencer, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and a certificate, professional selling specialization.


DES MOINES — Nearly 1,600 students graduated from the Spring Semester from Des Moines Area Community College’s Ankeny, Boone, Carroll, Newton, Urban and West Campuses. Among those graduating, Riley Maschino, of Spencer, with a liberal arts degree.


DECORAH — Luther College senior Danielle Dunn, of Spencer, participated in commencement ceremonies for the Class of 2018 at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 27, in Luther's Carlson Stadium. Dunn received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and biology.


ESTHERVILLE — Iday Roberts, daughter of Sonia Sanchez from Spencer, has been accepted into the arts and sciences program for the fall 2018 semester at Iowa Lakes Community College.
