A second ‘thank you’

Wednesday, July 4, 2018
Originally proposed in November of last year, a sign thanking veterans, identical to the one outside the Clay County Fairgrounds offices, has been erected near the Spencer Veterans Memorial in the 700 block of Grand Avenue. The second sign is the 17th like it across northwest Iowa. The movement to create and place identical signs across the state was started by two Korean War veterans from Cherokee.
