Merrill Company hosts King for ‘Hometown Summit’

In the fall of 2017, Dennis Spooner, managing partner at the Arnold Group of Companies, along with fellow team members Kyle Byrne and Eric Johnson, traveled to Washington, D.C., to participate in the Auto Care Legislative Summit where they visited the offices of four members of Iowa’s Congressional Delegation to discuss issues important to the Auto Care Industry.

As a follow-up to last year’s summit, the Auto Care Association has organized Hometown Summit, a program to facilitate hosting members of Congress while they are back in their home states. U.S. Rep. Steve King, from Iowa’s 4th Congressional District, and two staff members visited the Merrill Company recently to discuss issues important to the industry and tour our facility.

The issues discussed included access to telematics diagnostic information, embedded software copyright concerns and the importance of free trade to the industry.
