The Spencer High School special education class hosted its final Fillin' Station of the year Friday. The event is offered to the public quarterly to give students practical experience preparing and serving food. A few National Honor Society students helped serve hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, pasta salad, potato chips and graduation cake. SHS special education education teacher Molly Vander Linden said many of her students were ready to "show off" their skills to the 100 expected guests. (Above) SHS freshman J.D. Bumgarner manned the grill and seasoned the burgers. (Below) SHS senior Kaetlyn Warburton and sophomore Blake Benson work together to serve community members and teachers.
