Northwest Am champs climbing the ranks

This year’s Northwest Amateur Tournament champion Ian Snyman, pictured above, is on the rise in the world of golf, officially qualifying for this year’s U.S. Amateur Tournament to be played next week in California. Additionally, 1999 Northwest Am champion Ryan Vermeer finished ninth at the PGA Professional Championship, earning himself a spot in the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow in Charlotte, North Carolina, which started play Thursday. Vermeer ended play Thursday 11-over with a score of 82, putting him in a tie for 149th out of 154 players. (Photo submitted)
