Wolverines pile on CC-E girls in 3rd
ROYAL — Clay Central-Everly’s softball girls hosted South O’Brien Friday night, falling to the Wolverines 18-1 in three innings. South O’Brien led 4-0 after one and 6-1 after two before bringing in 12 runs in the third to end the game early.
Jasmine Kluender recorded the lone hit by a Maverick while EmmaKay McClain accounted for CC-E’s only run after drawing a walk and stealing two bases.
The loss makes CC-E 0-2 on the year after Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn took four innings to best the Mavs in Royal Wednesday night by a score of 18-2.
Jenny Hollesen went 2-for-3 with a run scored in that game. Audrey Ruda touched home for the other run.
The season continues Tuesday for CC-E with a trip to Hull to take on Trinity Christian.
