Unfortunately for the Mavericks, they saw a 10-point second half lead slip away in the closing minutes as Harris-Lake Park came from behind to win 51-48 in Everly Tuesday night.
CC-E held a close lead at half, 22-19, before extending the lead to as much as 10 near the end of the third quarter (38-28). H-LP started the fourth quarter on a 8-2 run, which got them back in the game, and a put-back by Noreen Morrow with 1:20 remaining in the game gave the Wolves a 47-45 lead.
Harris-Lake Park (11-6) outscored CC-E 19-8 in the fourth quarter to win the game. Emily Jobst led the Mavs with 17 points (6-of-20 FG), while Blair Montgomery scored 12 with nine rebounds.
CC-E (12-4) lost its second game in a row for the first time this season. They will travel to face Spalding Catholic in Granville tonight (Thursday).
