Storm Lake's Nic Seaman hit a three in the corner fading away at the buzzer to beat Spencer, 51-48, in Storm Lake on Tuesday. The Tornadoes jumped out to a 11-0 start before Spencer (11-8, 8-4 Lakes) took the lead in the second quarter. Spencer lead up until three minutes remaining and were looking at overtime until Seaman's three off an inbounds pass with 3.4 seconds left.
Harris-Lake Park outscored Clay Central-Everly 19-8 in the fourth quarter to win in Everly Tuesday night, 51-48. CC-E lead 22-19 at half before taking a 10-point lead in the third quarter and led 40-32 at the start of the fourth. HLP hit two 3-pointers in the quarter and completed the comeback after a Noreen Morrow put-back with 1:20 left to take a 47-45 lead. Emily Jobst's desperation three at the buzzer was off the mark.
The Spencer girls beat Storm Lake 69-27 in a rout in Storm Lake Tuesday night. Storm Lake is winless on the season at 0-18, while Spencer improves to 11-8.
