In yesterday's story, "Cellulosic ethanol plant being built in Emmetsburg," it is stated that 120,000 pounds are needed to start the plant and 300,000 is needed when the plant is up and running. It should read "tons," not "pounds."
It also states that, "Currently, there are 600 hundred farmers delivering to the plant." That is the anticipated number the plant will need.
It should also read that the plant will directly and indirectly employee around 530 people.
We apologize for any inconvenience.

Wow.... a lot of errors there...
Wow the paper taking responsibility for making mistakes. I bet that was hard for them to accept.
Um...employee is a noun. The sentence actually needs a verb. "It should also have read that the plant will directly and indirectly *employ* around 530 people."
I don't have sour grapes about not being hired to write for this paper either time. I respect the choice to hire Kate and Brandon in recent months. There's something else out there for me. But if you ever need some copy editing help, freelance, PRN, whatever -- give me a call.
