She was born in Spencer Aug. 17, 1931. Her parents were Harold and Grace King Hynes. Her early years were spent in Iowa, attending high school in Ruthven. She married Dariel Cederholm on Oct. 15, 1950. In 1954 they moved to Des Moines, until the spring of 1955 when they moved to Lincoln, Neb., where she lived until her death.
She graduated from the University of Nebraska with her BS in Elementary Education and Special Education in May 1976. She taught 19 years and substituted 11 years for Lincoln Public Schools. A part-time position of administrative assistant to the Singles Ministry at St. Mark's Methodist Church was a position she held for eight years. It gave her great joy to be part of the Singles Ministry, St. Mark's staff and to sing with the choir at St. Mark's. While her children were growing up she served as a Campfire and 4-H leader and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was a PTA officer, member of the Deborah Avery Chapter of DAR, served as secretary for Lincoln Camera Club, The Friendship Force of Lincoln and St. Mark's Singles Advisory Board. She volunteered at Bryan Hospital for seven years, and was a member of the Lincolnaire Chapter of Sweet Adelines for 15 years. She enjoyed traveling, photography, genealogy and writing poetry.
She was divorced in May of 2001 and Dec. 22, 2011 she married Ralph Pfeifer, her devoted husband.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Pfeifer; daughter, Kathy and son-in-law, Dan Campbell of Scottsdale, Ariz.; daughter, Cynthia and son-in-law Vince Morse of Isaaqua, Wash.; son, David and daughter-in-law Kazuyo Cederholm of San Diego, Calif.; three grandchildren: John Alexander Campbell, Andrew Campell and Karen Cederholm; one great-
grandchild, Wyatt Campbell; sister, Sharon and brother-in-law, Robert Krile of Spencer; sister, Carol McQueen of Spencer; nieces and nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Grace Hynes.
