This year, Glenn Henriksen and Galaxy will provide music during the meal and the dance that follows. The band has a large following around northwest Iowa and southwest Minnesota. It consists of Henriksen on keyboards, vocalist Jerry Behnendorf, guitarist Don Fausch, and percussionist Mark Kurseth. They will perform popular music from the 50s, 60s, and 70s, with a little music from the Big Band era and some country thrown in to spice things up. In keeping with the black-and-white motif, the band members will be dressed in tuxedos.
There will again be two entrée options: either a New York strip with Jack Daniel's green peppercorn sauce or blackened chicken pasta. This year, there will be a choice of plated desserts: either tiramisu or molten lava chocolate cake. There will be complimentary wines and a cash bar.
This year's event is sponsored by Shine Bros. Corp.; Solutions, Inc.; Merrill Company/Arnold Motor Supply; Montgomery, Barry, Bovee & Barry; Nolin Milling; Edward Jones (Jeremy Eller); RE/MAX Real Estate Partners; and Spencer Hospital.
Tickets are $50 for members and $55 for nonmembers. They are available at Arts on Grand or from members of the AOG board of directors. Deadline for ticket purchase is noon Wednesday, Jan. 16.
