Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Yeager, 84, of Spencer, were conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at North Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Spencer. Rev. Jacob Baker officiated the service.
Burial was conducted at North Lawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Yeager passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, 2012, at Spencer Hospital.
Gladys Luella Yeager was born April 16, 1928, to Lloyd and Leona (Hurley) Rose in Gillette Grove, Iowa.
She attended school in Gillette Grove and Spencer. She worked at several places in Spencer and retired from Helens Laundry at the age of 70.
She married Henry Yeager, and to this union a son, Henry Jr., was born.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, in 1996; her parents; and a sister, Berma Johnson.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Henry Yeager, of Royal, Iowa; three grandchildren: Kim (Then) Baccam of Marshaltown, Iowa, Kevin (Kerre Ann) Yeager of Fort Myer, Fla., and Kerry Jo Yeager of Cape Coral, Fla.; seven great-grandchildren: Anthony, Zachary, and Tyler Baccam, Hunter, Spencer, Noah, and Kenzy Yeager; two sisters: Lorena (Bob) Rorah of Spencer, and Eleanor (Earl) McFarland of Springfield, Mo.; nieces; nephew; other relatives and many friends.
