Kiwanis Daybreakers honored

Tuesday, January 8, 2013

Paul Brenner, Bill Hemme and Chuck White (all above) were recognized at Monday morning's Spencer Kiwanis Daybreakers meeting - each receiving a Walter Zeller Fellowship for their individual contributions to the Kiwanis International Eliminate Project. The international effort is designed to eliminate neonatal tetanus by providing vaccinations to mothers to prevent passing the disease to their children. Each Walter Zeller Fellowship contribution will allow for nearly 700 mothers to receive the shot. The club was also recognized as a Walter Zeller Diamond Charter. Brenner was also presented with the Kiwanis International Tablet of Honor for all of his work, and Allen Glover was recognized by the club as its outgoing president.
