Alice C. Rosacker
Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ruthven. Rev. Clem Currans will officiate the service.
Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Ruthven.
Alice Catherine Rosacker, daughter of James and Nelllie (Kiley) Monk, was born June 26, 1911, near Ruthven, Iowa. She received her education at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Ayrshire, Iowa.
On Oct. 12, 1932, Alice was united in marriage to William Richard Rosacker at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ruthven. Alice and Dick moved to her family's farm, where she had been born. Alice was very active in farming with her husband.
Alice was a lifetime and devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ruthven. She was very active in Ladies Guild and had been a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas for more than 50 years.
Alice passed away Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at the Ruthven Community Care Center at the age of 101. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dick; a sister, Eva Rosacker; a brother, Bud Monk; sister-in-law, Izetta Monk; and brothers-in-law: Elmer Rosacker, Max Theilen and Eldon Larson.
She is survived by two sisters: Irene Theilen of Charles City, Iowa, and Leone Larson of Ruthven; her nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.
