Funeral services for Mr. Donald Rosacker, 80, of Spencer, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer. Rev. William Schreiber will officiate the service.
Visitation will take place, starting at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Warner Funeral Home with family present from 5-8 p.m.
Private family burial will be conducted at a later date.
Donald Leroy Rosacker, the son of Elmer and Eva Monk Rosacker, was born June 11, 1932, in Ruthven, Iowa. He grew up on a farm and attended country school near Ayrshire, Iowa. He married Rosella Fogerty on May 28, 1956, in Whittemore, Iowa. They lived and farmed around Webb, Gillette Grove, and Ayrshire.
Donald's passion was farming, but he also enjoyed going to the elevator and visiting with friends. He liked to travel, feed livestock, and spend time with family, especially his grandchildren.
Donald lost his battle with cancer on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 at the Ruthven Care Center in Ruthven, at the age of 80.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Rosacker; and one brother-in-law.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rosella of Spencer; four children: Pat Rosacker of Spencer, Philip (Tammy) Rosacker of Spencer, Tim Rosacker of Enid, Okla., and Roger Rosacker of Spencer; three grandchildren: Brady, Whytnee and Wade Rosacker -- all of Spencer; one sister, Leila Eagen of Texas, two brothers: Gene (Mary Lou) Rosacker of Mason City, Iowa, and John Rosacker of Spencer; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
