Funeral services for Mr. Robert Theesfeld, 63, of Spencer, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at Living Word Church in Spencer. Rev. Al Dean will officiate the service.

Visitation will take place beginning at 3 p.m. today, with family present from 5-8 p.m., at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Ayrshire.

Military services will be conducted by the Ayrshire American Legion Post No. 173 Leonard D. Wilson.

Mr. Theesfeld passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at Spencer Hospital.

Robert "Bob" Eugene Theesfeld, the son of Harold and Thelma Spear Theesfeld, was born Aug. 10, 1949, in Estherville. His childhood years were spent in the Curlew area where he graduated from Mallard High School in 1967. After graduation Bob attended Iowa Central College in Fort Dodge. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on April 23, 1970, and served until his Honorable Discharge on Dec. 17 1971.

Bob enjoyed riding his motorcycle, working on cars, going to concerts and wintering in Arizona. His main enjoyment was spending time with his family, church family and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Steve and Dennis Theesfeld; and one sister, Maggie Joynt.

Left to cherish his memory are his one sister, Catherine Kirschbaum of Spencer; one brother, Gerald (Patricia) Theesfeld of Emmetsburg; 12 nephews; three nieces; special friend, Marti Rosacker of Ruthven; other relatives and many friends.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
