The Lady Rebels started out slow in their conference opener against Laurens-Marathon, leading just 7-6 after the first quarter, but 26 points in the second got them going as they cruised to a 58-22 win Friday night in Sioux Rapids.
Three Rebels scored in double figures, led by Nicole Hamilton's 12 points and 11 rebounds. The sophomore also had four steals and two assists. Taylor Fahnlander added 11 points, four rebounds and three steals, while Hallie Ehlers had 10 points, nine boards and four steals. Sioux Central totaled 19 steals in the win.
The Rebels didn't allow more than seven points in any quarter as they improve to 3-3 on the season and 1-0 in the Twin Lakes Conference. Eighteen offensive rebounds by Sioux Central also helped in the cause.
They will be back in action at home on Tuesday, Dec. 4 against Alta-Aurelia.
