Linda was born in Iowa City on March 10, 1946, the daughter of Lloyd and Velma (Bishop) Nelson. She was confirmed at the Evangelical Free Church in Albert City. She attended Albert City grade school and Webb-Gillet Grove Junior High and High School, where she graduated. She lived her adult life in Fort Dodge and the area around Phoenix, Ariz., working as a bookkeeper, and the last 15 years as a medical tech in Sun City. She was a very loving caregiver and also was a dear caretaker of her dogs. Those left to cherish her memory are husband, Al Pierce of Sun City, Ariz.; her son, Lloyd (JoAnne) of Peoria, Ariz., her sister, Ruth (Jerry) Richter of Newell; her niece, Faith (Michael) Dick; nephews: Randy (Rhonda) Richter of Newell and Chris (Melissa) Richter of Storm Lake; grandnieces: Mandy Richter, Melanie (Nate) Sweerin, and Stephanie and Marcie Dick; nephews: Mark, Jason and Isaac Richter; and a great-grandniece, Natalie Ruth Sweerin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Velma Nelson; and her infant daughter, Hope Ellen.
