Feeding the community

Friday, November 23, 2012

(Above) Pastor Dave Watson delivers some pumpkin pie to guests at the Spencer Dream Center Tuesday night. The local volunteer center kicked off its "Season of Giving" with a free Thanksgiving dinner for the public. Volunteers with the Dream Center and Iowa Great Lakes Chapter of the Siouxland Red Cross served up turkey with all the trimmings to more than 100 guests. The Season of Giving will continue during the Grand Meander on Monday, Dec. 3, with a toy giveaway for the children, and conclude the week of Dec. 17-21 with a holiday food basket giveaway. Those who would like to donate to the toy giveaway or food basket giveaway should contact the Dream Center at 580-4732.

Our heart from the beginning has been that we were given that beautiful building to use it to give to others! We are blessed to be a blessing!
