A branch of the vine

Friday, November 9, 2012

Jesus said, "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing."

This Bible verse reveals the importance of every believer having continuous fellowship and literally being yoked to Jesus. Your life is an outflow of Jesus living in you and through you. Living in vital union with Him empowers you to touch people with His love, supernaturally impacting them through simple acts of kindness.

You are a part of Jesus. There is no separation between the branch and Vine. They grow together and are viewed as one. The branch draws its life from the Vine. You are living in union with Almighty God. It is His life flowing through you NOW!

God's strength has become yours, all that He is has become yours. The life you are living is in Him.

See yourself totally in Jesus. The branch doesn't look to itself for life. It is entirely dependent upon the Vine. It wouldn't think of existing without the Vine. You can't either. Your confession is always of what He is in you. You are what the Word says you are, you have all that the Word says that you have and you can do all that the Word says you can do.

Your feelings have no bearing on the authority of the Word. It is true regardless of what you feel. You truly can love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who persecute you. You have love, joy, and peace abiding in Jesus. Think about Him in you and you in Him. You will bear much fruit.

Remind yourself frequently that Jesus is the Vine and you are the branch. You are divinely joined to Him. His life, the God-kind of life, is flowing through you. His strength, power, love, joy, and peace are yours today and every day.
