Sieperda, 200 free relay head to state
Sophomore qualifies with fastest 100 back time
Spencer Girls Swimming's Taylor Sieperda turned in two of her best times Saturday at the regional swim meet in Fort Dodge, qualifying her for the state meet for the second-consecutive year. Sieperda, a sophomore, set personal-bests and school records in the 50 free (23.91) and 100 backstroke (57.84) to advance to this Saturday's meet in Marshalltown.

Spencer's 200-yard freestyle relay also is heading to state for the second-consecutive year, and also improved on its school-record. Sieperda, Cassidy Fox, Abby Goodenow and Emma Dau turned in a time of 1:42.85 to qualify with the 17th-fastest time.
The medley relay team of Fox, Sieperda, Dau and Jessica Nelson just missed a trip but set a personal-best with a time of 1:57.01.
