Wind blows semi off road

Thursday, October 18, 2012

Emergency personnel respond to a semitrailer in a field near the intersection of East 18th Street and Clay County Road M-50, also known as the east bypass, late Wednesday morning. Ron Martin, 58, of Des Moines, was driving northbound on the bypass when his trailer was caught by wind, causing him to lose control and come to rest 50 meters into a field. Martin was transported to Spencer Hospital with minor injuries. The semi, owned by Hollow Inc. of Hospers, received an estimated $500 in damage. No charges were filed. Members of the Clay County Sheriff's Office, Dickens Fire and Rescue, Spencer paramedics and Spencer Police Department assisted at the scene.

Driving northbound. Either driving north or just northbound would do it.

Yes Karlos but it is also acceptable to say driving northbound or traveling northbound. There is no rule that says you can't.
