IDA announces launch of Facebook, Twitter pages

Tuesday, October 16, 2012

Iowans will find the department's latest information on two social media sites

Iowa Department on Aging Director Donna Harvey announced that there are two new options available online to find out the latest information about the Department and the services offered for older or disabled Iowans.

"I am pleased to announce the official launch of the Iowa Department on Aging's Facebook and Twitter pages. These two important communication tools are designed to increase our interaction with all Iowans. Iowa is a rural state and an aging state. The Iowa Department on Aging is committed to the use of technology to provide information and access to long-term living and community support services," Harvey said.
