Iowa Great Lakes Lutheran School's 14th Annual Fall Benefit Auction will be conducted at the Clay County Regional Events Center with doors opening at 11 a.m. and festivities scheduled to begin at noon Sunday.

A catered meal will be followed by entertainment at 1 p.m., provided by the school children, with a live auction beginning at 1:30 p.m. This year's auction is shaping up to be the largest yet, with more than 30 "theme baskets." There will be more than 60 live auction items, in excess of 100 silent auction items, and nearly 35 desserts for our dessert auction. Among the items to be auctioned off: an overnight stay at Hannah Marie Inn bed and breakfast, a guided fishing trip to Okoboji/Spirit Lake, a weekend stay in the Scharnberg cabins, a new Kenmore chest freezer or a 32" Hitachi LCD TV/BluRay combo. Tickets are only $15 for adults and $6 for children and should be purchased in advance by contacting the school at 262-8237 or 260-0913. With fundraising and donations comprising more than 50 percent of the school's annual budget, the fall auction is the school's largest and most important fundraiser of the year.
