Bryon W. Hartman, 51, formerly of Spencer, died of a heart attack on Aug. 20, 2012. Bryon will be remembered as a man with a willingness to help others, who had many talents and interests, including the mountains, hunting, fishing, reading and eschatology.

Bryon was born in Spencer on Aug. 13, 1961, to Burdette and Darlene (Watt) Hartman. After graduating from Spencer High School in 1979 he served in the USAF as a security specialist, attaining the rank of staff sergeant . Upon completion of his military service he settled in Colorado where he worked as a certified welder. In 2003 he started his own welding business in Silt, Colo.

Bryon was preceded in death by his father, Burdette Hartman.

He will be missed by his mother, Darlene Hartman, of Spencer; brother, David Hartman of Ashland, Wis.; sisters: Pamela (Gary) Wunderlich of Faribault, Minn.; Kathryn (Thomas) Valine of Forest Lake, Minn.; and Lynnette Hartman of Park Rapids, Minn.; other relatives and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at the Hope Reformed Church in Spencer. Lunch will be served immediately following the service with the family present for visiting.
