Grell named to LSI Foundation board of directors

Steven Grell of Spencer was recently appointed to the Foundation board of directors for Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI), one of Iowa's largest human services agencies.

LSI has over 20 locations across Iowa, including an office in Spencer. LSI's services include child abuse prevention, family crisis support, support for people with disabilities, home health care, residential treatment, refugee community services and foster care and adoption services as a partner agency in Iowa KidsNet.

"I'm honored to join LSI and have an opportunity to serve with one of Iowa's largest human services agencies," Grell, who currently serves as chairman at Community State Bank in Spencer, said.

Grell's previous community service includes work with the Spencer Jobs Trust, Spencer Industry Foundation, Spencer Family YMCA, the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Foundation, the board of trustees for the Spencer Municipal Hospital, community service chair for the Spencer Rotary Board and on the Augustana Fund Board.

Grell has a bachelor of arts degree from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D. He is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer.
