Mueting, Ascherl wed in Spencer

Elizabeth Mueting and Andrew Ascherl were united in marriage on June 16, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. William Schreiber officiating.

Liz is the daughter of Joe and Karen Mueting, of Spencer. Andrew is the son of Matt and Elaine Ascherl, of Sheldon.

Maid of honor was Katie Mueting, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kara Ascherl and Megan Ascherl, sisters of the groom; and Kayla Van Wyk, friend of the couple. Marie Mueting, niece of the bride, and Emmie Sager, niece of the groom, were the flower girls.

Best man was Evan Ascherl, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Jeremy Ascherl, brother of the groom; and Andy Mueting and Nathan Mueting, brothers of the bride. Stephanie Kirschbaum, Justin Kuiper, David Doely and Paul Claar, friends of the couple served as ushers.

A reception and dance were held at the Clay County Regional Events Center in Spencer. After a honeymoon to southern California the couple is making their home in Bettendorf, where the bride is completing her internships in Speech Pathology and the groom is attending Palmer Chiropractic College.
