Services for Mrs. Mary Darlene Curry, 77, of Spencer, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Warner Chapel in Spencer. Rev. William Schreiber will officiate the service.

Interment will be held at North Lawn Memorial Park in Spencer.

Mary passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Mary Darlene Curry, the daughter of Edward and Marie McNally Kunert, was born Sept. 18, 1934, in Emmetsburg, Ia. She attended school in Emmetsburg before moving to Spencer.

Mary married Donald Curry on Nov. 5, 1952, in Spencer, Ia. She enjoyed shopping, long car rides, walks, listening to classical music and especially spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers: Joe and Bobby Kunert; and two sisters: Geraldine Curry and Gwenivere Swenson.

Left to cherish her memory are her five children: Kate (Duane) Stouffer of Spencer, Ia., Richard (Pam) Curry of Chatfield, Minn., Terry (Val) Curry of Spencer, Ia., Deborah (Gary) Kalstad of Lakeville, Minn., and Pam (Darcy) Zehnder of Farmington, Minn.; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Lorrain Fay of Wallingford, Ia.; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and many friends.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
