Softball: Jensen's shutouts carry Rebels

Sioux Central's Gloria Jensen tossed back-to-back shutouts as the Rebels started the week with two wins over South Central Calhoun and Clay Central-Everly. Jensen allowed just one hit in the two games as she no-hit CC-E for six innings Tuesday night.

On Monday, Jensen tossed a complete game one-hitter with 13 strikeouts as the Rebels won, 3-0. Sioux Central scored all three runs in the top of the third. Hallie Ehlers went 2-for-3 with two RBIs in the win. Mikayla Landsness also picked up two hits, including a double.

The Rebels picked up where they left off when they hosted Clay Central-Everly (3-11) on Tuesday, June 19, winning 10-0 in six innings. Jensen no-hit the Mavericks and struck out four while walking five.

Sioux Central (5-13) pounded out 10 hits in the game, with Ehlers, Brandy Richards, Chandler Johannsen and Natalie Jensen all picking up two hits. CC-E's Mattie Larson took the loss in 5 2/3 innings, allowing four earned runs and striking out two.
