The Bulldogs benefited from five Tiger errors as they scored in all six innings, including four runs in both the top of the third and sixth. Eckstaine and catcher Kendall Candor each hit solo home runs.

Blake Seier pitched the final 3 1/3 innings and gave up six runs on five hits and four walks, while striking out seven. Six of Le Mars' 12 runs were unearned as Spencer struggled to make the routine play at times during the loss.
