Funeral services for Mrs. Wanda Birchard, 76, of Spencer, were held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2012, at Northlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Spencer. Rev. Chuck Kellogg officiated the service.

Visitation will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, with the family present from 10-11 a.m. at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.

Burial will be at North Lawn Memorial Park in Spencer.

Mrs. Birchard passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Heart Hospital at Sioux Falls, S.D.

Wanda Lee Birchard, the daughter of Catherine and Harry (Terry) Regennitter was born on Dec. 26, 1935, in Spencer, Ia. Her childhood years were spent in Spencer, where she graduated from Spencer High School.

Wanda married her high school sweet heart, Marvin Heikens in Spencer, on Dec. 31, 1953. To this union a daughter, Debora Kay Heikens was born.

Wanda moved to Anaheim, Calif. in 1962, where she worked for AT&T for 30 years, retiring in 1990. Wanda married Earl Birchard on Sept. 15, 1967. After enjoying some traveling, they returned to Spencer in 1997.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harry.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Earl of Spencer; a daughter, Debora (Bob) KayRasch of Norco, Calif.; two grandchildren; two brothers: Terry Reginnetter of Florida and Bob Reginnetter of Spencer, Ia.; other relatives and many friends.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
